We encourage all students, parents, and staff to familiarize themselves with these guidelines to ensure a positive and productive learning environment for everyone.

Attendance Procedures
At HOPE we want to keep a good record of our students’ attendance. Unexcused and excused absences impact the performance of every student. Be guided with the following Attendance Procedures.
- Absences Our Academic Department will mark school attendance. In case an absence is needed, email academic@hope.edu.kh and your student’s pastoral teacher by 8 AM or submit an absence in SEQTA. Planned absences for more than two days can be submitted using this form.
- Arriving late Students who arrive after 8:05 AM are considered LATE to school and must go directly to the Front Office for a late pass. Without a late pass, they will be considered ABSENT.
- Medical Appointments and Illness In case of medical appointments, illnesses, or any well-being related situation that may require coming late or departing earlier, refer to the Front Office for assistance.
See our Student and Parent Handbook or check out the Parent Essentials for quick access. This document is available in four languages (Korean, Khmer and Chinese).
Campus Guidelines
The campus is open for community use from 8 AM to 5 PM. We kindly ask all visitors to adhere to these campus guidelines, especially during break times and holidays.
HOPE community must present their HOPE ID card or parent lanyard to the guards when the Front Office is not open. This document is located at the Secondary Gate and outlines the expected guidelines for proper campus usage.
Communications
HOPE maintains regular communication with the entire school community through various platforms:
Official Communications
All official communications are sent via email to both parent and secondary students with the email address subscribed as parent and/or the school email address given to secondary students.
Additionally, school notices are streamed via SEQTA Learn (for students) or SEQTA Engage (for parents).
Websites and subsites
The HOPE website offers essential information accessible to all. Our HOPE Connect and Sports subsites provide additional resources and regular updates for the school community.
Telegram
For instant messaging, we offer a Telegram chat connected to our Front Office. Additionally, we have four dedicated Telegram channels for notices and updates specific to each school level and the sports program. Click in the following to join.
Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures
Drop-off and pick-up are sensitive times in school. We request all members of our community; students, parents, volunteers, and staff to practice the following aspects.
Entry and Exit Flow
- The driveway must be used in the same direction as the main road.
Enter from near the Primary Gate and exit near the Guardhouse. Do not enter in the opposite direction. - For the safety of our community, HOPE will not allow students and parents to cross the main road – pickup is only allowed on the campus side of the street.
Drop-off
- When exiting the driveway, right turn only.
- Parking in the drop-off lane and leaving your vehicle is not allowed.
- Be reminded that students may be dropped off after 7:30 and students are only allowed in the Primary Hallway after 7:40.
Pick up
- If you are coming into campus for a short-term purpose, park in
the short-term parking spots. - If you need to come into the school, park in any of the gravel spots past the Primary Gate. Please park as close to the edge of the sidewalk as possible. If necessary, double parking is allowed, but kindly notify our security guard and ensure we can easily contact you on campus.
- If not coming into campus (in other words, just picking up your
child), stay in your car and pull forward into the pick-up lane. - Parking in the drop-off lane and leaving your vehicle is not
allowed. - Parents are allowed in the Primary Hallway starting at 2:25.
See these detailed Guidelines outlined in our four-language information leaflet.
Library Guidelines
Library operation hours are from 7:45 am to 3:45 pm from Monday to Friday. Open to students and members of our community.
Book loans are allowed. All overdue books must be returned or renewed before a student may take new books. Secondary students may renew books by emailing or speaking to a member of library staff. Primary students must bring the book to the library in order to renew it. Books may be renewed twice for a total loan period of three weeks.
If a book has been overdue for more than a month, it will be marked as lost and a replacement fee will be charged to the student’s account through the finance department. The student will then be able to resume borrowing again. If the book is later found, the replacement fee can be reversed as long as it is within the same fiscal year.
Read the full document of our Library Policy Management to learn more details.
Sickness and Health Procedures
- If a student becomes ill, they will be taken to the nurse’s office for immediate assistance. The nurse will contact parents to arrange pickup and provide further guidance if needed.
- If your child is feeling unwell from home, please report your illness to the school immediately and notify the nurse’s office. The Student Health Policy provides a clear framework of guidelines on the next steps. Don’t hesitate to contact nurse@hope.edu.kh for any questions you may have.
- To ensure the safety and well-being of our students, please submit any dosage information to the nurse’s office, and we will assist with administering the medication. Students should not be self-administering medications on campus.
Truth Telling Report
HOPE International School has an open door policy and suggests that all employees, volunteers, students and parents share their questions, concerns, suggestions or issues with administration.
Our 6600 – Truth Telling Policy outlines that all HOPE employees, volunteers, students and parents are asked to report suspected wrongdoing by HOPE employees, volunteers, students and parents, whether unethical, immoral, or violations of policy, to the Safeguarding Team, to their supervisor or Head of School.
