Application and Fees

Enrolling your child at HOPE School involves a carefully designed series of steps designed to assess a student’s readiness for our academic program. This process begins with the submission of a completed application form and required documents, followed by placement test, and an interview. Subsequent steps involve the admissions decision and enrollment confirmation. Be guided by the following steps and leave us a message if you need further assistance.

Application form

To begin the application process, please complete the online application form and submit it with all required documents. A non-refundable application fee of $100 per student is due upon submission and can be paid in cash or by bank transfer.

School Records and Missionary Verification

Please provide academic records for the past two school years. Report cards with teacher’s assessments are preferred, but a letter of recommendation may be substituted if necessary. If records are not in English, please submit translated and authenticated copies.

If you are applying as a missionary or full-time Christian worker, please submit a letter from your organization. This letter should include the organization’s name, address, phone number (headquarters and local), verification of your employment, job title, and contact information for a designated representative. Submit this letter to the Admissions Department.

Placement test

Once your application, fee, and school records (and missionary letter, if applicable) have been reviewed, we will schedule a placement test for your child. This may include tests in English and Mathematics. Test results will be considered alongside your application. If your child is an English Language Learner, they will need to take an ELL test that assesses writing, speaking, listening, and reading skills.

Interview with confirmation

After reviewing your application and test results, the school may request an interview with the principals. Once the admissions process is complete, you will be notified of the decision. If accepted, you have one month to confirm your child’s enrollment by paying the required fee and specifying a start date.

Failure to start school within two months may result in loss of the offered placement. If no immediate placement is available, your child will be placed on a waiting list according to the Admissions Policy.

Student enrollment and Parents’ onboarding

Upon completion of tuition fees, we will guide you through the enrollment process to prepare your child for school. As a welcome to the HOPE School community, all new families are invited to attend our orientation session.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I be part of HOPE if I am not a Christian?

While you don’t have to profess Christianity to be part of HOPE, it’s important to understand that our school operates on Christian principles. We strive to create a learning environment rooted in these values. To ensure alignment with our school’s mission and philosophy, we kindly request that parents consent to our approach to education.

Will I be able to attend school in my home country or a different country after studying at HOPE?

The delineation of Grade levels does not reflect the system in any one particular country, as HOPE is an international school, catering for many children from different backgrounds. It has been established, however, with consideration of portability to and from home country systems.

Please see Comparative Grade Levels and Grades table for more details.

Does HOPE grant scholarships for prospective students?

HOPE does not currently offer scholarships to prospective students. However, enrolled families may be eligible for a limited scholarship program to provide temporary financial assistance during unforeseen circumstances.

When can I start studying at HOPE?

To ensure the most effective learning experience, students at our Primary and Middle School may begin their studies at the start of each semester. However, our rigorous High School curriculum necessitates a more structured entry point. Therefore, students typically commence their High School studies in Grades 9, 10, or 11.

We understand that every student’s situation is unique. We encourage you to schedule a personalized consultation with our Enrollment Coordinator to discuss your specific needs and explore the best-fit entry point for your child.

What nationalities are represented at HOPE?

HOPE has a diverse and inclusive community, representing over 25 nationalities. Students, families, and staff represent a wide range of countries, including Australia, Canada, Cambodia, China, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and many more.
